This fun day is a combination of theory and river based activities.
ACC RiverSafe for years 6-8 is a safety education programme for use within the Health and Physical Education in the New Zealand Curriculum at years 6 to 8. It is a land and water based teaching programme about making quality decisions in, on and around rivers.
The programme is in four teaching learning sections.

- Section 2: Learning about rivers
- Section 3: Risk Assessment
- Section 4: When things go wrong
The day consists of a morning completing fun theory activities with our trained instructor. Your group would then relocates to the river to spend the afternoon putting into practice the lessons learnt in the morning.
Each student will receive an ACC RiverSafe Certificate upon completion of the days activities.
This programme is excellent preparation for Wild Earth Adventures rafting trips and also fantastic life skills for kiwi kids who have ready access to many great water activities.
